The Pink Project

The Pink Project

This project started in July, 2017, the summer my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I took it upon myself to photograph as many pink flowers as I could find.  The bleeding heart became the signature photo for this project.  The photos are all unique and special in their own way, but the bleeding heart bloomed longer than usual in my garden.  I came to think of it as a symbol of hope.  Throughout the season, I photographed many pink flowers, and these are my favorites.  May the beauty of these flowers offer a message of hope, strength and courage to those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
